It started out as a social experiment in Austin, Texas. The Goal was to create a space for single professionals of color to date and network. We tested our first mixer under the name of “Black Dating Society” and the rest was history!

We expanded with different types of dating events. Over a year and a half we hosted panel discussions, charity events, coaching sessions and sexual wellness events.

While Black Dating Society is apart of our Genesis story, due to the need of  providing spaces for people of color, at the root we understand that love has no boundaries. Velvet Love & Life Company was fashioned to help everyone attain Relationship Wellness through our programing.
